Bird of Prey Experience

Hawk walk

Your experience ticket includes full day tickets for the centre, so you are also welcome to enjoy a flying display during your visit (note displays run wed-sun until the end of October and only on Saturdays and Sundays from November – February). When we arrive at one of our flying locations, you’ll be given a demonstration of how to stand and how to call the Hawk to you safely.

Owl Encounter

Your experience ticket includes full day tickets for the centre, so you are also welcome to enjoy a flying display during your visit (note displays run wed-sun until the end of October and only on Saturdays and Sundays from November – February). You will get the opportunity to fly three different Owls varying in size and species.

What you could enjoy on a visit to The Project:

• Day ticket admission to enjoy up to two twice daily native species flying displays with engaging commentary, exploration of over 20 different raptor species in their homes – including owls, falcons, buzzards and more…
• Private Hawk Walk experience – walk through the beautiful Duchy of Cornwall Newton Park Estate free flying one of our trained hawks to and from your gloved fist, the trees and the sky
• Private Owl Encounter experience – Enjoy our cosey undercover flight area to fly and feed three beautiful owls on your gloved hand, starting small and working your way up to an Owl from the largest family on the planet…
• A delightful array of locally produced authentic lunches, hot drinks, refreshments and meals from our neighbouring café, Newton Farm Shop and café

Getting there

free car parking!

A taxi from central bath takes about 20 minutes and costs £15 – £18.

Alternatively you can get the X39 bus from Bath Bus Station to The Globe Roundabout, which is a 10 minute walk from the centre – return tickets cost about £2.50 per adult.
